The body is a canvas. My body moves, allowing me to be greater than a canvas, a moving display, a breathing life work.
Clients have remarked that they have wanted to colour in between my tattoos, explore where the geometric lines lead, create a further layer of pattern on my skin. I want to allow this creativity for others to flow, using my body and the lines already on my skin as their canvas.
I have been to art and architecture school, whilst at architecture school, a teacher remarked, that having limits aided creativity. Being told to simply draw a building, create an art piece, was deeply confronting to many individuals. Creating or designing on a site which had limitations, encouraged ones mind creatively and laterally. I now enjoy engaging within limitations.
I present my tattooed body for us to explore creatively together. Our date will include paint brushes, washable paints (or pens, or face paints), fingers (for using as a paintbrush and otherwise), sponges to create layered effects and any other art supplies which our hearts desire. Let’s paint one another, let’s get messy and wash each other in the shower, before perhaps getting messy again (no paint on the sheets).
